Custom infinity wall, 8 acres, bridal suite and it goes on,,,,,,

From the moment you enter the Barnwood Events in Madison you just keep saying, "Oh my gosh". It all started in 1995 when Julie and Dave bought the property. The property had an old farmhouse which they remodeled, then they built the new brown barn specifically for a wedding venue. This venue is an updated version of rustic charm. With so many amenities and conveniences, ADA accessible with plenty of handicap parking right at the entrance, 8 t.v.'s, a projector and easy access for caterers. Also the property has a large parking lot which includes 8 chargers for electric cars. The large barn has a large main area with 30 foot ceilings and you immediately notice the large wagon wheel chandeliers when entering. The room can accommodate up to 300 guests, with a 4 season room that is off the main room is heated and air-conditioned with windows around the entire room.

From the 4 season room you can walk out to the patio which has a fire pit and is a short distance from the Capital City Bike trail. Julie and Dave also offer lawn games for you to enjoy with the rental. They have planted thousands of trees, flowers, wild flowers and created prairie areas. The 200 old oak trees that needed to be taken down were used for the wood slices and the dressing area counters. They also refinished 20 plus wine barrels and added casters to use them for cocktail tables and the unique and stylish trash bins.

One decorative item that really got my attention is the lantern infinity wall behind the bar. Julie noticed the one at Buck and Honeys in Monona, WI and she investigated adding this to the interior design as they prepared to build the barn. It is something I had not seen before and is such a unique part of this venue. Along with the beautiful tables and chairs they also offer decorations should a client choose and they offer a fully licensed bar for your event.

Finally, what I loved about the venue was the genuine kindness of Julie and Dave and all they do for the community and the commitment they have to their clients. I was able to do engagement photos of my couple who will be getting married there this year, and they were so accommodating it was pleasure to meet them and learn all about this special place. If you would like to see the photos of the engagement session it is up on my blog, and here is a link to that. Bekah and Nick.
