Wedding Bells will be ringing

Bekah and Nick met as many of my couples have. They met in an online dating website. Many people use online dating as a way to meet, in fact one website has 75 million users, of which close to 8 million are in the United States.

Bekah and Nick had their first date in the Madison area, at the Hopcat Cafe. Nick said that after that first meeting, they were both of the mindset of "that was great, and they wanted to see each other again!" Which worked out perfectly because after 2 1/2 years of dating Nick proposed to Bekah at Devils Lake in Baraboo, WI, her hometown. Also my hometown!! Devils Lake is one of the most loved and visited state parks in Wisconsin, with over 10, 000 acres of beauty and trails to explore.

One of Nick and Bekah's favorite pastimes is to go on hikes and be outdoors. So adding their fur baby to what they already loved doing was a given!

Nick and Bekah have a beautiful fur baby, named Loki, yes after the marvel series character!, and he joined us for part of the engagement shoot. AHHH, so much energy, love it, and those eyes, he stole the show once he showed up..... But before he arrived, the soft evening sun spoke volumes as Nick and Bekah walked around the Barnwood Events grounds. From the wagon wheel chandeliers, to the huge carriage barn doors, and the separate bridal room, and grooms room on site, it was an incredible venue to have so many options for photos. And the infinity wall of lanterns, fashioned after the birch tree infinity wall at Buck and Honey's in Monona, was a beautiful addition to the view behind the bar. I love Buck and Honeys', and met Bekah and Nick there before our photo shoot, where we ordered the "Sampler" , say YUMM now, check it out!

We choose the patio at the Barnwood Events, for some soft sunlight pictures, and the big willow tree where they will say their vows for just a few of the locations to get pictures.

We had already been to Olbrich Botanical Gardens, which was on Bekah's wish list for photos. I was only to happy to comply as I had been there many times and love the serenity of the plants, water, bridges and the feeling of being completely removed from the hectic part of daily life.

Many things make us stronger and bring us closer. When Nick and Bekah were dating, Nick moved to Tennessee for a bit, they worked to keep their bond strong, as being apart can be difficult but it can also make us stronger and develop the that communication which is vitally important in all relationships.

I look forward to being a part of their day next year, and seeing all their dreams come true. The best part of a wedding day is seeing it unfold, and the love that exudes from everyone! And, all the joy that the bride and groom feel as they are celebrated, and celebrate, THEIR day. ( and if Loki can make an appearance that would be great!)

If you want to learn more about the beautiful venue they choose for their wedding, click on the link, Julie and Dave are so genuine and gracious they will certainly answer any questions you have, and for Bekah and Nick, you will have the best day of your lives, and I am so appreciative to be able to document it!!
